Intercult is pleased to invite you to the 2026 CAE Nordic–Baltic Satellite Meeting: “Different Times, New Solutions”. Hosted by the CAE Nordic Hub, the Northern Dimension Partnership on Culture (NDPC), Space-Time Works AB, and Nordic Music Days and Baltic New Music Days, this gathering takes place in parallel with the Baltic New Music Days festival.
At a time when cultural workers face shifting conditions, from sustainability and wellbeing to challenges around identity and representation, this meeting asks how we can imagine new solutions for different times. The event draws inspiration from the “unconferencing” approach, prioritising open formats, peer exchange, and dialogue shaped by participants.

What kind of activities are planned?
During the program, participants will have the opportunity to take part in networking events and visits, join collaborative workshops and open format dialogues, panel talks, and of course… Go to concerts!
Here are some of the topics that the programme will highlight:
- Sustainability in its broadest sense, including the working conditions and wellbeing of cultural workers.
- Cultural identity across the Nordic region, the Baltic region, the UK, and Europe.
- Questions of belonging, representation, and diversity.
- Cultural democracy and policy.
What do we offer?
- Cost coverage: A grant will be paid to the selected participants. The grant will be paid after a contract with each participant is signed.
Who are we looking for?
- We are looking for Sweden-based artists and cultural workers who are interested in Nordic and European cultural policy and networking.

About the Mobility Program
Intercult is collaborating with Culture Action Europe (CAE) on the program in Riga. CAE is a major European network of cultural organisations, artists, and policymakers that serves as the political voice for the cultural sector, advocating for policies that recognise culture as essential for sustainable societies, democracy, and security. This mobility bridges the gap between cultural practitioners and EU policymakers.
What is Intercult Academy?
This year we are launching “Intercult Academy on Tour” – a series of international mobilities across Europe. Thanks to international mobility grants we are able to support Sweden-based artists and cultural workers as they attend specialized training events and professional development in several key European cities.
This program is a commitment to the long-term growth of the Swedish arts community. These opportunities are made possible by the European Union and a significant milestone for our organization: Erasmus+ Accreditation. This formal recognition ensures that Intercult has a secured, sustainable pathway to provide consistent support for knowledge exchange.
