Call for Local Artists – Residency in Stockholm – Turning the Tide (TTT)
June 27, 2025Welcome to Stockholm!
We are delighted to welcome you to Turning The Tide – The Stockholm Lab, a unique international gathering hosted in the very heart of Stockholm. Over a three-day programme, artists, climate experts, urban planners, researchers, and policymakers from across Europe will come together to explore how art and culture can help shape more resilient and sustainable coastal and waterfront cities.
Our venues reflect the spirit of the event — Kulturhuset, Stockholm’s iconic cultural hub right in the city centre, and Vrak – Museum of Wrecks, located along the beautiful waterfront with breathtaking views of Slussen.
Turning The Tide – The Stockholm Lab combines artistic presentations, keynote talks, interdisciplinary discussions, and study visits, providing a platform for knowledge exchange and cross-sector collaboration. Through creative dialogue and shared experiences, participants will examine how socially engaged art can communicate complex climate issues, foster public engagement, and inspire action toward more resilient and sustainable urban futures. The Stockholm Lab is part of the broader Turning The Tide project, led by Intercult and co-funded by the EU’s Creative Europe programme, and follows a series of similar international labs held across Europe.
