Culture on Waterfronts in Lisbon!
Intercult are representing Sweden in the interdisciplinary project S. O. S. Climate Waterfront. The project aims to explore the impact of climate change affecting Europe's waterfronts. Together, we will exchange transnational examples of best practices and discuss new approaches to tackle challenges connected with climate change. Pressrelease 2: Memory of Water
Memory of Water is an artist-led project that explores the impact artists can have on post-industrial waterfront heritage in terms of urban planning and community development. A highly successful City Lab event initially took place at the end of November in Ostend, Belgium, where objectives and strategies were discussed, and presentations from artists and planners were given. Is wood cool? Results of the seed project Wood is Cool
During 2018-2019 Intercult initiated the project Wood is Cool together with Project North and Arctic Art Institute. Wood is Cool aimed at establishing contacts and introducing the subject of preservation of cultural heritage through an active involvement of civil society in urban planning of Archangelsk, with artists from Stockholm implementing cultural methods on working with citizens, architects and other stakeholders. New collaboration granted: New Nordic Voices for Coloured Girls
New collaboration at Intercult! Nordic Culture Point are supporting the project New Nordic Voices for coloured girls - a collaboration between Intercult, Caisa (Finland) and ACT New Nordic Voices (Denmark) that takes a closer look at the Nordic African context of the first play.
