February 4, 2025We have compiled a guidebook on digital innovation in the performing arts!
The book “The Digital Realm: A practical guide to digital tools in the performing arts” highlights interesting and inspiring artists, researchers, production houses and other examples from the Digital On Stage project’s partner countries. Through research, case studies and an online survey, we have collected as many as 120 examples of how AR, VR, AI and other digital technologies and tools are used in the performing arts. 20 of these examples come from Sweden. “The Digital Realm” is intended to serve as an orientation guide and signpost for the curious performing artist and craftsman and is therefore freely available to the public. Read the guidebook here (PDF).
We would like to thank all the artists, teachers, researchers and cultural workers who have contributed their work and knowledge to the production of the guidebook.
Digital on Stage (DOS) is a three-year initiative involving artists, venues, production houses, digital developers and cultural experts from across Europe.
