Artists selected for the 3-month residency will participate in workshops, meetings and events organized by Intercult and will explore and deepen their knowledge of the project’s themes (social justice, environmental and climate issues, and participatory art).

About the project:
Turning the Tide (TTT) is an ambitious EU artistic project of interdisciplinary dialogue that aims to creatively respond to the threat of the climate crisis in coastal cities. The project aims to engage local residents, amplify unheard voices and raise awareness of climate issues in coastal cities. Through collaboration in and between four cities, TTT uses a cultural planning methodology and works with socially engaged artists. The project is an international experiment exploring how artists can contribute to the climate change narrative and exploring climate justice. The TTT project includes 5 partner countries – Intercult (Sweden), Artit (Greece), Vienna Education Academy (Austria), DEAR HUNTER (Netherlands) and Urban Culture Institute (Poland) in collaboration with Fablevision (Scotland) and River//Cities Network.
