Open call for artist residencies on the island of Evoia, Greece – Turning The Tide
December 16, 2024
Summary of “Culture: the Compass for Europe’s Future”
February 12, 2025E-ART partner countries invite artists and artisans to participate in a sustainability crash course!
E-ART is a two-year European Erasmus project that aims to support sustainable development in the arts and public sector. Our aim is to promote the use of sustainable materials, contribute to the development of artists’ skills, and highlight inspiring artists who explore environmental impact and climate issues.
About the course
The course consists of two hours of participation per day, divided into two sessions. The first hour is common to all participants and deals with general tools and theories of sustainability in the art world. During the second hour, participants can choose which art area they wish to immerse themselves in: Are you interested in textile art, or do you perhaps want to dive into so-called “trash art?”
During the course you will meet artists and art educators from all over Europe. The course leaders will alternate practical demonstrations of sustainable art methods and materials with discussions, exercises and tips on what you can do yourself.
Are you interested in climate awareness and art? Then this is for you! Apply via the E-ART website.
Applicants will be informed of the selection in March.
