About the artwork “Arv”
“Arv” (English title: “Heritage”) is an artwork by Martin Christensen that consists of a visual representation of a virtual digital sculpture.
.
The artwork is based on an ancient monument in Vigelsjö Nature Reserve, a burial site from the early Iron Age with stone mounds that bear witness to human activity at the location around 2000 years ago.
.
The digital sculpture is a manifestation of reflections on the passage of time, history and the future, the legacy of individuals and humanity, but also our place on Earth and what lies beyond us in time and space.
.
